The Ravenhood

The Ravenhood Series Movie: Intro

Welcome to the in-depth analysis of Kate Stewart’s The Ravenhood Series, one of my all-time favourite books! I finished reading Exodus, the second book in this series, at the end of December 2021, read Flock, the first book in this series, in November 2021, and The Finish Line, the last book in this series, at the end of January 2022. Even though I wanted to read this series from beginning to end, I took three months to finish it because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the characters and their narrative. I’m going to probably simply give my individual reviews of each book before concluding my blog post with a perspective on how this series affected me and how it impacted my life. Let’s get going!

The Ravenhood Series Movie: Creative Look

Cecelia, our major female character, was a genuine and sophisticated character who was representative of most ladies her age. She was 19 years old. She wants to believe in happily ever after, but her father in particular has injured her in the past. She feels welcomed and likes Sean right away when she meets him and his closest pals Dominic and Tyler. She, on the other hand, largely views Dominic in the opposite way; for much of this novel, he is disrespectful to her. We get to know Sean’s character really well as he and Cecelia get closer. I enjoy how he’s a bad boy with an adventurous free spirit since I don’t think you see that too often in romance male characters. There needs to be a disclaimer that this book contained a lot—and by a lot, I mean A LOT—of snark.

It was far more than I had anticipated, but on the other hand, I had read this book with very little prior knowledge, which I believe contributed to how much I like it. Without giving anything away, the “RavenHood” was introduced toward the close of this novel, and I was pleasantly surprised by what it represents. The reader will feel as though they are right there with Cecelia the entire time as Kate Stewart manages to be descriptive without being overpowering in this dark, turbulent love story!

The Ravenhood

Best of Touch

The RavenHood series’ second book was flawless! I was ecstatic to learn how many first book mysteries were revealed! First of all, this novel was SO depressing and made me cry once, maybe ten times, for Cecelia. She was kept in the dark about so many things by so many people, and it crushed her more and more every time throughout this book. But I adore how she developed from the drama, the kept secrets, and her circumstances into such a strong and beautiful lady who was dedicated to loving and letting go of the past!

The poison between her and her ultimate love interest is the main drawback in my opinion. Even at the cliffhanger, they both make mistakes, but the games they play don’t appear to be the healthiest. I suppose we’ll see what the next book has in store for us. This is obviously such a petty point because their relationship was intended to be toxic, and it in no way detracts from how lovely and devastating this book was. When it comes to writing, Kate Stewart never fails to wow since her descriptions are brief and to the point, and the character interaction is always spot-on.
